Stiwdio Maelor Residency

I am happy to say I have been accepted by Stiwdio Maelor for their residency, commencing the 22nd November until the 6th December 2015.

Stiwdio Maelor, based in Lower Corris, North Wales provides artist and writers the space and opportunity to “refocus on their work, and find new inspiration”. The studio originally a house and shop front is based in what was once a quarry mining town, which is now surrounded by forested hills, and ideal location for my proposal.

I proposed to use the residency as a meditation retreat. I hope through dedicating time to prolonged meditations, away from daily distractions, it will give me time to develop my work. I also hope being in an unfamiliar place will inspire. I want response to space and the work I produce to be fresh without any preconceived ideas. So I plan to keep my ideas loose and simple  at the moment and see what happens and develops from the time and use of the space.

For more information about the residency see Stiwdio Maelor, and to see my page check out Colette Lilley.

  1. Congratulations Colette. I am sure it will be a wonderful chance to reflect and re-evaluate. A very precious and rare opportunity today. I look forward to seeing what evolves from it. Very best wishes Wendy & TIAF team
