New Year, New Start, New Studio.
With the closure of our studio, Wolstenholme Creative Space back in December 2012, I along with my friends and fellow artists Cherie Grist and Laura O’Reilly, decided to set up our own studio group the 104 Duke Street Collective, Keeping it simple, the address.
When looking for space we feel in love with the old printing building and little features, it is perfect for what we want to provide, a safe, warm, friendly environment, centrally located for professional artists and creative people, to be creative and jus be able to do their work.
It is in its second month, and it has been a challenge, with a lot of work still to be done, but its self is its own reward and we eventually want to be able to put on exhibitions and events, and really make use of the space. It is also providing me with a base for me to run my month critique groups from. For more information and to findout when the next crit is please visit the Liverpool Critque Group facebook page.
The collective is small, consisting of 9 of us ranging from fine artists to graphic designers; it is made up of:
My self, Colette Lilley
We are currently full but if you would like to be considered for a space and added to the waiting list please email: firstname.lastname@example.org
2013 already seems like a great exciting year!
