Liverpool Critique Group, which is now over two years old, is a monthly get-together for artists and all creative types.
The aim of the group, which I set up with a fellow artist in November 2010 and now run, is to provide a friendly relaxed environment for people with creative interests to meet like minded people and receive feed back and support for one another.
As I have mentioned in older posts, the advice and support I have received from these crits has been invaluable, having people as a sounding boards has helped me to understand and define my ideas, and figure out what is working and what is not.
Working at your practise can be an isolating experience and having people who can help support you as you nurture your practise is so important, this is one of the main reason the group was founded and why I am so passionate about it.
The group has helped to introduce many creative people and has visited a number of locations and studios. I hope it will continue to do this for a long time to come.
More information about the group: its members, and to find out when the next get-together is, can be found on Liverpool Critique Group’s Twitter.
